For parents, choosing the right school for their child can be a daunting task. We, at IBSS, acknowledge and uphold the uniqueness of every child and family with their own set of requirements and expectations. We invite you to get in touch with us for any questions. Initial Inquiry:
Visit our website or contact the Admissions Desk at the school office to receive detailed information about all the programmes and facilities that the school offers to its students. These unique features are what distinguish us from most run-of-the-mill educational institutes.
Attend an open house or schedule a campus tour to experience for yourself the vibrant atmosphere and culture of IBSS firsthand.
Application Submission:
Fill out the application form, available both online and at our school office. Submit the requisite documents, which typically include the birth certificate, and a family information sheet.
Parent-Child Interaction:
An informal interaction between the parent and the Admission In charge is planned which is the first step towards a long association between the family and the school where the parents and the school staff get to know each other and a realistic expectation setting is done. The child spends some time with an expert in the Early Years Learning Programme where an informal evaluation of the child’s developmental milestones is carried out through fun activities. Parents and the Admissions In charge also discuss a few personality traits of the child and, whether he/she needs any specific attention from the school.
Application Review Process:
The IBSS Admissions Committee reviews each application thoroughly, in particular the age suitability of the young student to the grade in which admission is sought, the date of birth certificates and the parents’ documents. This process is undertaken to align the parents’ expectations, the students’ educational needs with the ethos and offerings of IB Smart Start.
Admission Offer and Acceptance:
Parents of shortlisted students receive an official intimation offering admission to the child. In order to secure a seat in a particular grade, parents/guardians must complete the necessary enrollment paperwork and submit the admission fee within the stipulated time frame, failing which admission is granted to the next most eligible student in the waiting list.
Orientation and Induction:
On completing the admission formalities, parents and students are invited to an orientation programme. This is an opportunity to meet teachers, fellow students, and understand the scholastic, co-scholastic programmes and facilities that the school provides to its students in their most crucial formative foundational phase of schooling.
