At Smart Start, our Visual Arts programme helps children to discover the artist within. Our adept staff draws from the children's everyday experiences and uses them as springboards for their artistic ventures. This approach makes the process of creating art both relatable and inspiring for our young learners.
Whether working independently or in collaboration, our budding artists cultivate their own visual language to express their creativity and communicate their ideas. They explore fundamental artistic elements like colour, form, lines, and texture, thereby engaging with a diverse array of materials and techniques.
The IB Art curriculum even provides the exciting opportunity for children to mould their imagination into tangible forms, creating clay sculptures that are baked in our onsite kiln. The artwork, a reflection of their developmental stages and individuality, is proudly displayed throughout the school, creating a colorful testament to their creativity and imagination.

Imagination Through Drama
At Smart Start, we believe drama is a powerful tool that taps into children's innate ability to imagine, communicate, and empathise. Our drama program aims to facilitate children by providing them a creative platform to express their thoughts and emotions.
We ensure children understand the variety and richness of storytelling, introducing them to diverse mediums such as mime, puppetry, spoken word, music, and movement. This exposure allows them to experiment with different ways of expressing their narrative, broadening their understanding of effective communication.
Our weekly themed activities aim to ignite their imagination, expand their vocabulary, and foster creativity. And it's not just about acting - these learning experiences also contribute significantly to the children's social-emotional development. As they explore their emotions and learn to interpret others' feelings, they also cultivate empathy and emotional intelligence.

Learning Through Music
At Smart Start, our Music Program is designed to harness and enhance children's innate musical potential and contribute to their multifaceted development. We aim to kindle their curiosity and joy in music, offering them the opportunity to delve into various aspects of this universal medium of expression.
Students are exposed to an array of musical activities including singing, movement, storytelling, and becoming familiar with various instruments. We gradually introduce them to more complex concepts such as tempo, major and minor keys, pitch, musical notes, and rhythm, guiding them to understand and appreciate the intricacies of the musical world.
Our curriculum is inspired by a rich tapestry of cultural, seasonal, and contemporary themes. We incorporate elements of traditional Indian folk heritage and global music, as well as international and contemporary children's songs. This diverse exposure facilitates a greater awareness of different cultures while also fostering global citizenship.
